Shopping at CityPlace in West Palm Beach

City Walk West Palm Beach

Every city or town has that one “must-see” or visit location. Sure, West Palm Beach is of course known for the beaches, but where do you go when it comes to family fun? How about a place that offers an array of dining establishments, a movie theatre, live bands (on certain nights), fun shopping, and gorgeous views of landscaping with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of places to sit down and enjoy the view? CityPlace!

CityPlace (West Palm Beach) is an upscale lifestyle center located on South Rosemary Avenue in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. In addition to shops and restaurants, the center has rental apartments, condos, and offices. (And the views for those lucky people are pretty spectacular!)

It was the perfect way to end a Saturday evening after spending a few hours at the Convention Center just across the street for an event we were covering! I would have thought it would have been more crowded, as in June they have live music most weekends. Their event schedule has some amazing things on it.

There is a parking garage that leads you to all the fun, parking is affordable but you can also get free parking depending on what you are there for. If you are shopping, spend $50 or more and show your receipts to guest services to get your parking validated, or if you are going for food and entertainment, spend $100, same applies- pit stop at guest services before you leave!

If you are in the area during the week, they even have Workout Wednesdays the last Wednesday of every month! The events are ever-changing and keep the nightlife upbeat! Something new is always being posted to their events page!

There are plenty of escalators, stairs, and crosswalks, as well as police presence to keep the flow of traffic (pedestrian and driving) all organized! The view from the second floor is just stunning! The assortment of restaurants blew my mind! I did spot a few of my favorite mainstream stores and many fun boutiques.

After one of the most amazing southern barbecue dinners of my life from Brother Jimmy’s, we walked around for a bit, viewed some lovely artwork, checked out the scenery, popped into a few boutiques, danced to the live music, took a mandatory family selfie, and then made our way for a scrumptious dessert at Sloan’s.

I mean literally, almost everything you could think of is right there! If I could make one minor suggestion, because it is such a popular place and you could spend the whole evening there, is that the main restroom near the guest services should get one of those multipurpose vending machines. Stocked with things like Tylenol, feminine products, diapers, and wipes! For now, in an emergency, you can at least walk a block easily to the Publix grocery store that is right at the edge of CityPlace!

PS, the sunset over the palm trees from the second floor is quite beautiful, if you didn’t want to stay at the beach all day but still get a great view, secure a spot near the balcony or in front of the movie theatre as it sets for the day!
